My Name is Rachel Corrie: The Play in her own words.
Rachel Corrie died at the age of 23 on March 16 2003. Rachel was killed in an attempt to stop an Israeli military bulldozer from demolishing a Palestinian families home, to clear land, for the building of a wall to contain Palestinian families on Israeli designated land in Rafah. Rachels words are powerful and compelling, as well as challenging the status quo, and in action. Let her legacy move us to social action.

Here we take a look at how some of the media do business. Do we stick to the mundane story of people talking on telephones or do we move with the flow of a real story? And what is the story? Is it Obama's misleading position on the Iraq war, or is it the fact that his media point person wants to hide Obama's inconsistent policies, from the media with Bush type control tactics?
Or maybe, like we see here, it is media's lack of interest in getting the story at all!!

Young People speak out against the Iraq War.
In the fall of 2007, in the 5th year of the U.S invasion of Iraq, a small group of Des Moines Iowa area high school students occupied U.S. Senator Charles Grassleys, Des Moines office, in the Federal Build. This was a simple yet profoundly courageous act by these young people, in direct defiance of respected authority figures. It is both inspiring and challenging to all Americans who passively accept what government figures tell them and media professionals parrot back as policy, for the supposed protection of American "values and way of life". If more people would take there citizenship as seriously we could have ended this debacle of a war a long time ago.
